Esau McCaulley Assistant Professor of New Testament and Early Christianity at Northeastern Seminary

Fr. Esau McCaulley has served across many professional and cultural contexts throughout his ministerial career and theological study. These experiences include rector at All Souls Episcopal/Anglican Church in Okinawa, Japan, assistant to the rector at St. John’s Episcopal Church in Portsmouth, VA, and assisting priest at All Saints Episcopal Church in St Andrews, Scotland. He recently completely his Ph.D. in New Testament at the University of St Andrews where he focused on Paul’s letter to the Galatians under the direction of N.T. Wright. His scholarly research and writing focuses on Pauline theology and intersection of race and Christian identity. He currently serves as assistant professor of New Testament and Early Christianity at Northeastern Seminary in Rochester, NY. He is married to Mandy, a pediatrician and they have four wonderful children.
