The Rev’d Canon Arthur Going was born and adopted in Cincinnati, Ohio. Educated at Princeton University, Indiana University, Christ Seminary, Covenant Seminary, and the University of Chicago. Ordained as a Lutheran pastor in 1981, as an Anglican priest in 2010. Parish pastor and church planter in Germany, Chicago, Augusta, St. Louis, St Paul, Plano, and Louisville. For the last four years on staff with Bishop Steve Breedlove in the Diocese of Christ Our Hope, overseeing theological formation of next generation leaders and the ordination process, serving as a member of the Diocesan Shepherding Team and theological advisor to the Bishop. Art also is executive Director of Anglican Missional Pastors (AMP), a two-year, cohort-based program of formation for curates, beginning pastors, and others seeking formation as Anglican clergy. He co-chairs the ACNA’s Committee for Catechesis. Married for 37 years to Dr. Nancy Going (Executive Director of Vibrant Faith), they have two married adult children, Katie and Chris, and six grandchildren.
